Migrate from UptimeRobot to StatusHive in 10 Minutes

Switching monitoring tools sounds painful. It's not. Here's exactly how to move your monitors from UptimeRobot to StatusHive without missing a beat.

Why switch?

UptimeRobot is great for monitoring your own site. But if you're an agency, you've probably hit these walls:

  • All monitors in one flat list (no client organization)
  • Status pages show UptimeRobot branding
  • No client portal to share with your clients
  • Per-monitor pricing that gets expensive at scale

StatusHive solves all of these. And you can switch in under 10 minutes.

Step 1: Export from UptimeRobot (2 min)

Log into UptimeRobot. Go to My SettingsExport. Download your monitor list as CSV.

The CSV includes: monitor name, URL, type (HTTP/HTTPS/TCP), interval, and alert contacts. This is everything you need.

Step 2: Create your StatusHive account (1 min)

Sign up at statushive.app. It's free — no credit card required. You'll land on your dashboard immediately.

The free plan gives you 10 monitors, 3 clients, and 1 status page. Enough to test the migration.

Step 3: Set up your clients (2 min)

Before importing monitors, create your clients. Go to ClientsAdd client.

For each client, enter their name and contact email. This is what makes StatusHive different — every monitor belongs to a client, not a flat list.

Step 4: Import monitors (3 min)

Go to MonitorsImport. Upload your UptimeRobot CSV. Assign each monitor to the right client.

Alternatively, add monitors manually — it takes about 10 seconds per monitor. Name, URL, client, interval. Done.

Step 5: Set up status pages and alerts (2 min)

For each client, create a status page. Customize it with their logo. If you're on Starter or Pro, point a CNAME record for their custom domain.

Configure alerts: email, Slack, or Discord. Each client can have different alert channels.

Share the client portal magic link with your clients. They can check their uptime instantly — no login needed.

You're done

That's it. Your monitors are running, your clients have branded status pages and portals, and everything is organized by client.

The best part: you can keep UptimeRobot running in parallel for a few days to make sure everything is working. Once you're confident, cancel your UptimeRobot plan.
